Medical School: Ohio State University, Columbus, OH
Internship: University of Chicago
Why did you choose the Univ. of Chicago for your residency training?
My wife is from Chicago, so location dictated a lot of our choice. Within the city, I found that U of C had a great balance of educational opportunities and lifestyle. You see some very sick patients on a daily basis and learn from them. There’s great teaching. But you don’t get worked to the grindstone. I was happy to find that my expectations have been met so far.
Where do you live in Chicago (area of the city) and if you like that area, why?
River North. Great location —> centrally located in the city. Close to restaurants and bars, as well as beaches. But also very easy to jump on Lake Shore Trail / Drive to get to work.
