Why did you choose the Univ. of Chicago for your residency training?  Strong critical care program. Strong transplant program. Trauma. Severe diseases. Big variety of cases, and a top notch University and research. Good didactics and academic environment. Finally, a congenial environment where everyone is supported.

Best thing about the Univ. of Chicago?  Great new facilities. Great history. A single large connected campus without artificial barriers between departments or schools.

Where do you live in Chicago (area of the city) and if you like that area, why? South Loop! It's mildly expensive, but it's a 10-20 minute drive to everything in Chicago. There is little to no traffic on my daily commute, which was a pleasant surprise!
