Medical School: Creighton University, Omaha, NE
Internship: University of Chicago
Why did you choose the Univ. of Chicago for your residency training?
University of Chicago was by far and away my most enjoyable interview day and interview dinner. The camaraderie of the residents, support from faculty, fellowship options, and academic focus of the program were all top notch. I couples matched with my wife, who also fell in love with the Family Medicine program. We decided UofC was the perfect match.
Where do you live in Chicago (area of the city) and if you like that area, why?
Avondale. It’s a working class neighborhood located just north of Logan Square. We have lots of space for the money, and its halfway between UofC and my wife’s residency program. Parking is easy and doesn’t require a permit. We have a 7 minute walk to the blueline, and can easily walk down Milwaukee to Logan Square restaurants and theater.
